Four past students of the IMS are currently Heads of Departments of four out of the six Public Universities in Ghana. They are:
1) Dr. (Mrs.) Natalie Mensah – Head, Department of Maths/Stats, Univ. of Cape Coast.
2) Dr. Edward Prempeh – Head, Dept. of Mathematics, Kwame Nkrumah Univ. of Sci. & Tech.
3) Dr. Christopher Okpoti – Head, Department of Maths. University of Education, Winneba
4) Dr. George Nkrumah – Head, Department of Physics, University of Ghana
